Customer Appreciation Day is Sept. 20
Time Warner Cable announces Customer Appreciation Day, Saturday, Sept. 20., from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Road Runner Kiosk at Crossgates Mall. The public is invited to test drive all the latest offerings from Time Warner Cable, including the Digital Video Recorder and Discovery High Definition Theater. Visitors can have their picture taken with the Road Runner, then instantly email it to friends and family from the mall. Representatives will be on hand to answer questions about all the newest services, including iCONTROL On Demand movies and programming, HDTV, the new En Español Spanish tier, High Speed Internet access and more. Many will take away fantastic free gifts and enter to win hourly raffles. The day of fun will culminate with the grand prize raffle giveaway of a racing bike just like Lance Armstrong's.

New HBO series debuts Sept. 14

'Carnivale,' a new original series from HBO, follows a traveling carnival as it winds its way across the Dust Bowl, focusing on a mysterious young fugitive with hidden talents who is taken in by the carnival, and on the charismatic, shadowy evangelist who will ultimately cross his path. Microsoft issues bulletin for software update
Microsoft released a security bulletin on Wednesday, Sept. 10. The company identified a security issue that could allow an attacker to remotely compromise a computer running Microsoft® Windows® and gain complete control over it.
